The results of a survey conducted by “Al-Bilad” newspaper to determine the trends of young readers and their inclinations to read media content, in cooperation with specialized academic figures, showed that young people chose “Al-Bilad” newspaper to obtain reliable information and news. As for their reading tendencies, the results showed that they preferred to read local and political topics in the first place, followed by cultural, artistic, and miscellaneous topics, followed by technical and economic topics, while sports topics ranked last on the list. As for the most common activities that participants engage in on social media platforms, the results revealed that 112 participants use their electronic devices to browse social media platforms, while 25 participants use them for study and work, and 5 participants use them for electronic games, and with regard to the participants’ favorite digital platform, the “ Instagram ranked first on the list, followed by the Snapchat platform, then electronic platforms, the YouTube platform ranked fourth, followed by Tik Tok, the X platform came in sixth place, followed by Facebook, and the Threads platform ranked first.
