Based on Tamkeen’s ongoing efforts to develop the entrepreneurial system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to provide various forms of support to Bahraini entrepreneurs and owners of emerging enterprises in order to enhance the quality of their projects and enrich the entrepreneurial scene in the Kingdom, the Labor Fund (Tamkeen) announced its cooperation with Falak Consulting to launch the “Tamkeen” program. The new “ScaleUp!”, in partnership with Strategy Sims, aims to enhance the capabilities of emerging enterprises in Bahrain and help them grow their businesses, attract investors, and develop strategies through a training simulation to experience developing a startup project.

During the 3-day program period, participants in the “ScaleUp!” program will experience a simulation of all the stages of establishing a new project, from the idea to developing exit strategies, through all stages, which include the founding journey, developing a business strategy, making informed decisions, facing competition, and meeting investors’ requirements. And dealing with deals and other challenges that any emerging project may face until reaching exit. The program addresses financing structures, business models, methods for presenting projects to investors, dealing with various exit mechanisms, and formulating a long-term capital strategy.

On this occasion, Her Excellency Mrs. Maha Abdul Hamid Mafeez, CEO of the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), said: “We continue to work at Tamkeen in order to support the growth of the entrepreneurship system and emerging projects in the Kingdom, whether through financing or providing innovative training solutions that build capabilities and enhance skills so that entrepreneurs can… Businesses can develop their projects and ensure their sustainability, which stimulates the growth of the private sector in the Kingdom, and also contributes to achieving our strategic goal of making the private sector the main growth engine for the national economy. The projects are required to present an idea or service that can be developed in the local or regional market, and that the project must be based in the Kingdom of Bahrain and have an active commercial register. Registration is also available to individual angel investors, accelerator programs, venture capitalists, and ecosystem developers.
