Composer and arranger Dawoud Al-Sammadi puts the final touches on a song titled “Yalla Qarb” by the star Hossam Madaniyah, and it is one of his words, melodies and arrangements.

Al-Samadi confirmed that the song is in the Egyptian dialect, and is characterized by a “classic techno” rhythm with oriental touches supported by light lyrics, indicating that it will be released very soon in the markets.

He said in exclusive statements, “The song carries many meanings, and the most important thing is that it is easy to memorize and keeps up with our times, while preserving the aesthetic of Arabic music with a Western flair.”

On the other hand, Al-Sammadi stressed that artificial intelligence will not affect the composing profession at all, even though it is a beautiful and distinctive tool.

He pointed out that creating melodies, especially in oriental music, depends on a feeling that artificial intelligence does not possess, no matter how advanced it is, praising at the same time the role of the latter in directing music, considering it a very advanced assistant that may save the user time and effort.

In another context, Al-Sammadi explained that the current era of speed has made the tune somewhat similar, adding that the works focus on the tone and combination of the rhythm more than the melody, especially with the presence of modern technology and the similarity of the rhythms.

In addition, “Al-Sammadi” explained people’s attachment to the songs of the nineties, saying: “The reason for the attachment is the presence of the rich melody with the new recording technology at the time, and the addition of a mixture of Western rhythm such as drums and guitar. In addition, there was not a huge amount of singers, so there was more opportunity.” To hear the songs.

He added about the beginning of his work: “My works were from the Arab world, such as Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Kuwait, and the center was in Syria in a private studio. I also worked in the fields of soundtrack music, dubbing, advertisements, and the automated response system for commercial companies.”

He added: “I have many important works, most notably with the artist Hossam Madaniyah, and we collaborated on five works, the most important of which is Rajaa, which was distributed by me and had a great resonance. I also collaborated with the artist Rabih Al-Asmar Bishara in the Bomb Action series, in addition to being with the artist Sariya Al-Sawas.” With more than one song, the most prominent of which is “I’m comfortable with you.”

Al-Sammadi touched on his favorite music and said: “My favorite music is old songs like the songs of Mrs. Umm Kulthum and Mrs. Fairouz, because their works are immortal to this day… and even the idea of the melody, if it is re-arranged in a new way, we notice that it keeps up with our current era.” “Because of the wide variety of musical phrases, it is a school in itself.”

He concluded by talking about the characteristics of a successful composer, noting that the most important of them is searching for musical phrases that were rarely used and supporting them with the new musical arrangement that brings together a mixture of world music to produce a distinctive work, in addition to taking care of the singer’s voice to perform the melody correctly.

Daoud Al-Sammadi was born in Kuwait in 1976. He is of Jordanian nationality and has a Syrian mother. He began his artistic career singing when he was eight years old. He holds a diploma in audio engineering in the state of California, and was honored with distinguished awards for his outstanding contribution and exceptional creativity in the field of music distribution and audio engineering.
