JAKARTA – A total of 19 operations can be covered BPJS (Social Security Administering Agency) Health. This is a form of health protection provided by the government for the community.
Basically, the BPJS Health system is the same as insurance, where users are required to pay contributions every month to get services. However, BPJS is said to be much cheaper than insurance in general.
During BPJS Health if the user is still active or the user regularly pays monthly fees, the user is entitled to a number of free health services ranging from routine check-ups to operations.
In the Minister of Health Regulation (Permenkes) Number 28 of 2014 there are 19 types of operations covered by BPJS Health. Following is the list.

1. Tumor surgery 2. Cyst surgery 3. Caesarean section 4. Oral Surgery 5. Appendectomy 6. Eye Surgery 7. Cataract Surgery 8. Hernia surgery 9. Tonsillectomy 10. Lymph Symptom Surgery
11. Cancer Surgery 12. Knee Joint Replacement Surgery 13. Vascular Surgery Operations 14. Gallstone Surgery 15. Odontectomy surgery (impacted tooth) 16. Myoma (uterine lump) surgery 17. Pen Removal Operation 18. Operation Time 19. Heart Surgery
It should be noted, to get surgical facilities covered by BPJS Health, patients must seek treatment at first-level health facilities (faskes), such as community health centers or clinics that have been approved by BPJS Health.
If the patient really needs surgery, the patient will be given a referral letter to the hospital. Apart from that, there are also other requirements, namely the Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) and a patient card from the hospital to get this free operation.
