The Tenders and Auctions Board, which is responsible for monitoring public procurement and government contracts in the Kingdom of Bahrain, opened in its weekly session yesterday, Thursday, bids for 12 tenders for various official agencies and companies in the country.

The total of the lowest bids opened by the Tender Board at its session yesterday was about 3.6 million dinars, as companies competed and submitted 54 offers to win the tenders at hand.

In details, Bahrain Polytechnic obtained a tender to establish a research center on the university campus, where Mr. Kadhim Al-Darazi and Sons Company submitted the lowest bid of 1,429,282 dinars, but it was classified in the (pending) box.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture won two tenders, where Aroma Gardening and Landscaping WLL submitted the lowest bid for the tender for the strategic plan for afforestation and landscaping works for roads and parks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, at a value of 990,325 dinars, while Al Ansari Engineering Services Company submitted the lowest bid for the tender for providing supervisory and consulting services for vegetation cover in Kingdom of Bahrain, with a value of 278,520,000 dinars.

As for the Central Warehouse Department, which is affiliated with the Electricity and Water Authority, it won 4 tenders, as Central Energy Systems and Operations Company submitted the lowest bid in two tenders, with a value of 4,034 dinars in the tender for supplying water equipment (HDPE Pipe Fittings) and 28,930 dinars in the tender for supplying polyethylene pipes. While Al Bakali General Trading BSC submitted the lowest bid in the tender for supplying water tools (Coupler) at a value of 40,254 dinars.

The Urban Planning and Development Authority also obtained a tender for consulting services for the urban renewal project and the design guidelines and standards guide for Block 338 in the Adliya area, for which Aseel Architecture Gulf States Limited submitted the lowest bid of 44 thousand dinars.

Customs Affairs won the tender for technical support and complaints reception services, for which Computer World WLL submitted the lowest bid of 136,732 dinars.

Primary health care centers won a public tender to supply and replace identification signs for primary health care centres: 6 companies applied, and the lowest bid was 101,393 dinars from UNION PLASTICS.

The Council opened a tender for the General Sports Authority in order to audit the accounts of sports clubs, where 6 companies competed for it, the value of the lowest bid was 75,999 dinars from Crow BG, a professional joint-stock company. Bapco Refining Company won the tender to replace the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system in the clinic, where two companies competed for it, and Almoayyed Air Conditioning submitted the lowest bid of 121.7 thousand dinars.
