The information was provided on Thursday by the Association’s general director, Paulo Cassoma, during AIFA’s official presentation.

According to him, the aim is to raise awareness among professionals in the sector, as well as support the fight against counterfeiting and piracy and promote the creative industry in the country.

According to the president of the Single Association of Copyright and Related Rights (AUDAC), Lucioval Gama, AIFA will contribute significantly to the growth of the cultural industry.

Lucioval Gama understands that with the entry into operation of this body it will attract investments from large international producers such as Sony music, Universal and Empire.

In turn, Emanuel Carvalho Nguenohame (Big Nelo), considers that the emergence of AIFA is a historic milestone in the country’s cultural and creative industry.

For the artist, the initiative comes at a time when it becomes increasingly necessary to value the work of audiovisual producers.

Musicians, visual arts artists, event promoters, representatives from the ministry of culture and tourism and associations linked to the sector and others participated in the event.

The event featured an intimate concert by the singer Selda, who performed her own songs such as “Morena de cá”, “Aquela rua”, and “Tom Perfect”.

The Angolan Phonogram Industry Association (AIFA) is the first institution of its kind in the country, with the characteristics of defending the rights of phonogram and videogram producers.
