United Islands

This year’s twentieth edition of the United Islands festival is about Truth and Love, the fight against misinformation, sustainability and diversity. Up to 70 new musical discoveries from 15 countries around the world will perform on several Prague islands and in part of Prague 5. You can also look forward to a non-musical program called Islands of Inspiration. It includes a lot of lectures, workshops, discussions, etc. This music festival opens the summer festival season in Prague every year.
Metalfest Open Air

You can also visit the international metal festival Metalfest Oper Air in Croatia, Germany, Switzerland or Austria. In the Czech Republic, the first year was held in 2009 and now more than 10,000 fans from more than 27 countries will visit it. This year’s program of this special music festival will feature bands Powerwolf, Arch Enemy, Behemoth, Testament, Avatar, Stratovarius, Insomnium, Annisokay, Crypt, Sebastien or Redsphere.

One of the largest Czech rock concerts in the Czech Republic, Rock for People will present more than 60 musical groups from all over the world. In terms of genre, this festival will accommodate rock, rap, pop-punk, punk-rock, metal, funk, hip-hop, techno and many others. You can look forward to the bands Slipknot, Architects, Simple Plan, Machine Gun Kelly, Billy Talent, The 1975, Papa Roach, X Ambassadors, Muse or Incubus. Czech and Slovak performers will present themselves, for example Aiko, Annabelle, Václav Neckář & Bacily, Brethren, Radosta, Kašpárek in a roll or Guys.

Every year, the Votvírák Festival mainly presents Czech and Slovak performers of various musical backgrounds. Primarily rock, pop and hip-hop songs will be played. For the first time this year, House and Tech House lovers will also have a treat. The music of the groups will be heard Lucie, Shkvor, Shoes, Yellow dog, Chinese, Grandpa Mladek Illegal Band, Other coffee, Come on, one hundred animals, Wohnout or 58G. Already in its 6th year, one of the biggest festivals, which takes place right in Prague, will this year accommodate more than 300 artists on a total of 8 separate stages. He also introduces himself Editors, White Lies, Aurora, Jamiroquai, Tove lo or a French chanson Zaz. Mighty Sounds

A three-day summer music festival where you can mainly hear punk, punk rock, ska, hardcore, rockabilly, reggae or indie rock songs. Most of the performers are from abroad. Among Mighty Sounds’ biggest draws are the bands Rancid, Black Flag, Enter Shikari, The Interrupters or DUB FX. They represent the Czech scene, for example The Rocket Dogz, Mushroom, You are not wrong, Rabies or SPS.
Beats for Love

Electronic music sounds in every corner at the Beats for Love festival. It is the largest summer music festival of this focus in Central Europe. This year is the tenth year in a row. Many foreign stars will perform – Hardwell, Tiësto, Sigma, Netsky, Coven, Mefjus, Metric, Mark Knight, Maddix, He splashed, Gary Beck, Klaudia Gawlas whether Angerfist.

Within Temptation, Europe, Creator, Amon Amarth, The Hu, Airbourne, Soulfly, Tarja Turunen and many others will play on several stages in the premises of the Vizovice liquor store. The proof of the success of the festival is the sold-out tickets every year.

The organizers of Colors of Ostrava will present this year the 20th year of one of the most famous Czech summer festivals. In terms of genre, the festival is not defined in any way. In the premises of the old smelters, mines and ironworks in Dolní Vítkovice, many different performers with different musical styles will be heard. He will perform on 19 stages, for example OneRepublic, Ellie Goulding, Burna Boy, Macklemore, Interpol, Kavinsky, LaBrassBanda, Niall Horan, Jacob Collier, Geist and more. You can also enjoy amazing piano and theater performances, workshops, films and discussions.

It is a multicultural European festival that includes not only many musical performances, but also a diverse side program in the form of films, theater, author’s readings, etc. Every year, more than 20,000 fans visit it to listen to the performances of mainly Czech performers and bands. This year’s Sázavafest will feature popular bands like Christopher, Mirai, Chinese, Dymytry, Present, Michal David, Kateřina Marie Tichá, Traktor, Verona or Katarína Knechtová.

Brutal Assault

One of Europe’s leading heavy metal festivals, it attracts more than 20,000 visitors from all over Europe every year. Blazing fire everywhere, ripped microphones, guitars and metal singing resounding in every corner – this is the Brutal Assault festival. Part of the festival is also the possibility of a tour of the Josefov fortress and a visit to several accompanying events right in the area. Fans will be delighted by the bands Biohazard, Archspire, Beartooth, Deicide, Gatecreeper, Napalm Death, Dying Fetus, Nile, Trivium or Hypocrisy.

The traditional summer music festival of the Zlín region includes two main stages, where well-known Czech and Slovak bands of all genres will perform over the course of two days. The festival is conceived as a project for the whole family, which is why a program and corner for children are also part of it.
