Discussions were held on the dynamic development of economic relations with Turkey, the activities of Turkish companies in our territories freed from occupation, and the prospects of trade partnership.

From the Ministry of Economy Publika.azwas told that Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat. Mikayil Jabbarov congratulated his Turkish colleague Omar Bolat on his appointment as the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey and wished him success in his work.

At the meeting, the importance of the political will of the heads of state and the implementation of the tasks given by them in the development of relations was emphasized. It was noted that Turkey is one of Azerbaijan’s main trade partners, and the Protocol signed between the two countries on amendments to the Preferential Trade Agreement creates an additional incentive for strengthening our economic and trade cooperation. A successful investment partnership is being implemented between sister countries, non-oil trade turnover is increasing. It was emphasized that large-scale projects implemented with the participation of Azerbaijan and Turkey not only deepen regional cooperation, but also change the landscape of the region.

The minister also informed about Azerbaijan’s economy and shared his views on further expansion of relations with brother Turkey.

Trade Minister of Turkey Ömer Bolat expressed his gratitude for the sincere congratulations and emphasized the friendly and brotherly relations and strategic alliance of our countries with common values.
The parties discussed the joint projects, the activities of Turkish companies in our territories freed from occupation, and the prospects of trade partnership.
