Publika.az informs that in the second leg of the Europa League play-off between “Karabagh” and “Braga” Azerbaijani bloggers took pictures from the stadium against the rules and violated the general rules of filming, which led UEFA to issue a serious warning to the representative of Agdam.
Anar Hajiyev, head of the press service of “Qarabag”, confirmed this information to Gol.az.
He said that such a situation happened because some bloggers made videos by obtaining photographer accreditation:
“UEFA only has standards for filming on the side of the field, i.e., behind the goal. That area is intended only for photographers. In recent games, we have seen a situation where they get photographer accreditation from us, take phone shots, video recordings. Regarding the companies that only have media rights of UEFA has a very strict approach. The right to film belongs only to the companies that own the media rights. Any outside person, TV or company does not have the right to film the game and broadcast it. Even the club itself, within 24 hours on its social network account, website, TV, such footage cannot broadcast”.
A. Hajiyev said that UEFA gave a serious warning to “Qarabag” regarding the issue, but the club was not fined:
“There have been some warnings. There is this issue. On the other hand, there are also some problems with the performance. People who take shots should not go outside a certain area. They have a specific area of activity. Just in the last match, they often leave this area, even at the moment of a goal. entering the field was registered by UEFA as a serious rule violation, we were warned about it. Hopefully, we will not be fined, UEFA will take into account a certain situation and will not fine. However, only the representatives appointed by UEFA for the game “Karabakh” – “Braga” told us after the match they gave a serious warning. There were serious warnings about not repeating this situation.”
A. Hajiyev noted that they will be more careful and serious about the accreditation issues for the home game against “Bayer” in the 1/8 final stage of the Euroleague:
“We will take these issues into account during the next accreditation period. We will only grant accreditation to media representatives who do their work seriously and do not interfere with our work process.”
It should be noted that “Garabagh” defeated “Braga” in two games (first match – 4:2, second leg – 2:3) and qualified for the 1/8 final stage of the Europa League. The team will face “Bayer” at this stage. The representative of Aghdam will play the first match on March 7 in Baku, and the return match on March 14 in Leverkusen.
