Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the Azerbaijani provocation that took place in the internal Khand at the February 15 session of the government, stated that it shows that Azerbaijan continues its destructive behavior and policy of coercion towards Armenia. Yesterday, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced that until Armenia changes its legislation, there will be no peace agreement. The spokesperson of the Prime Minister of Armenia responded to this, referring to Ilham Aliyev’s statement yesterday and stating that the legislation of Armenia is the internal affairs of Armenia and no foreign power has the right to interfere with it.

The whole problem, however, is that Armenia itself “gave” that “right”, opening the topic of the Declaration of Independence and the amendment of the Constitution, and making statements from the highest level to various representatives of the political majority, that the existing legal-political basis of Armenia is, so to speak, conflict-prone. , is problematic from the point of view of achieving regional peace. When such an internal political “discourse” is opened, it turns out that Armenia itself gives Azerbaijan the opportunity to “interfere in the internal affairs”. And Azerbaijan is “intervening”, and the real manifestation of that “intervention” is not only Aliyev’s statements. Azerbaijan’s “interference” in Armenia’s internal affairs is also the border provocation that took the lives of four soldiers.

That provocation is not only a manifestation of external aggression, but also an interference in “internal affairs”, taking into account the “discourse” opened by the political majority in Armenia. Baku, by resorting to provocation, essentially pours “oil” on the “agenda” promoted in the domestic political field of Armenia, at least influencing the mood of a certain segment of the public at the “subconscious” level. In the interview given to the British Telegraph, the Prime Minister of Armenia spoke about the fact that Armenia’s resilience has increased and it is noticeable to everyone.

How and from what it is noticeable is a matter of discussion, but one thing is obvious, that the content and level of the internal political “stimulated” discourse of Armenia is not only far from the quality and content necessary for resistance, but also contains the danger of further departure, creating “conditions” , which give Azerbaijan a greater opportunity to “direct” the public sentiments of Armenia with its aggressive and combative policy. At the February 15 meeting of the government, Nikol Pashinyan stated that “attempts to interpret whether there is any provision in the RA constitution preventing the signing of the peace treaty have nothing to do with reality.”

As I said, during the negotiations of the peace treaty, Armenia and Azerbaijan managed to agree on a number of articles, and one of them is that the parties cannot refer to their own legislation to refuse to fulfill any provision of the peace treaty. Therefore, there is no provision in RA legislation that prevents the implementation of the peace agreement, and this is not only a political but also an expert assessment.” If Pashinyan thus signals to close the dangerous discourse he opened, then it can certainly be an action aimed at resistance in that sense.
