What is the main reason for the reunion?

I think it’s a combination of several reasons. The economic factor is definitely present, but mainly I think this has to do with the music, with the public that cheers our return. For us, it is an impulse that has been developing over time, commented Toño Jauregui.

What changes have you had to make in your lives to be able to dedicate yourself to this meeting and the concert at the National Stadium?

Salim has had to stop studying, at least for one cycle. Everyone has had to adjust their time to dedicate themselves to this, especially something so big that we haven’t had before in terms of the magnitude that the National Stadium has. It is a massive call that we expected.

What has it been like to work together again after so long?

We have an exceptional chemistry that has not been lost in these years. We are happy to play songs again that we have always liked and to be able to offer a special show for our fans, and to play songs together again, added Salim Vera.

What can fans expect from the concert at the National Stadium?

We’re going to play songs from our first albums, some that we haven’t played in a long time. We are preparing a complete show with high quality audiovisuals. For Manolo Hidalgo, all this time will serve to prepare a concert that his audience deserves.

What plans do you have after the concert?

We are focused on the concert on July 6, but we are also looking at options for other presentations, perhaps in Peru or abroad. “We’re open to whatever comes next,” added drummer Jeffrey.

Are there plans to release new material together?

At the moment, no. After the show, maybe we can talk about other things, like the possibility of creating a new album. «We are currently in the process of discussion. These days we have been analyzing who will be the guests, calmly and without rushing. Whenever any difference arises, we resort to our contract to resolve it, which helps calm the waters,” Salim mentioned.

How do you feel to see that your music is still popular among new generations?

For Toño Jauregui, it is a joy that new generations are part of his audience and he hopes that the National Stadium integrates all of them. «We are surprised and happy to see that there are many young people who follow us on social networks. “There is going to be a crossover of generations in the stadium and we are preparing a special show for everyone.”

The return of Libido promises to be one of the most anticipated musical events of the year. With their renewed energy and creativity, the band is ready to offer an unforgettable concert for their long-time fans and for the new generations who have discovered their music.
