The National Weather Service issued a series of weather alerts for today. These are yellow alerts for storms and occasional hail for twelve provinces and an orange alert for extreme heat for a large part of Formosa, a portion of Chaco and the east of Salta.
According to the report from the meteorological agency, strong storms are expected for the north of San Luis, center and north of Córdoba, south of La Rioja, east of San Juan, and north of Santiago del Estero.
There is also an alert for the entire province of Chaco, Tucumán and Jujuy, northwest of Corrientes, east and center of Formosa, north, center and south of Salta, and east of Catamarca.
All areas will be affected by storms, some locally strong, which may be accompanied by occasional hail, intense gusts, strong electrical activity and abundant rainfall in short periods.
In the coastal area, the central area and the northern area, accumulated precipitation values are estimated between 30 and 70 millimeters, while in the northwest and in Cuyo between 20 and 40 millimeters, which may be exceeded from time to time.

Orange alert for extreme heat in three provinces
Meanwhile, the meteorological agency issued an orange level alert for extreme temperatures for Bermejo, Matacos, Ramón Lista, Patiño, in the province of Formosa; the northwest of Almirante Brown and General Güemes, in Chaco; and the department of Rivadavia, in Salta.
The orange level implies that heat can have “moderate to high health effects” and that temperatures can “be very dangerous, especially for at-risk groups.”
