And the price of the Max version has been fixed at 2 lakh 99 thousand 990 yuan (45 lakh 58 thousand 164 taka in Bangladeshi currency).

He also said that within just 27 minutes of unveiling, we received more than 50,000 car orders. When announcing the production of the SU7 model last December, Lei Jun said that Xiaomi plans to become one of the top five car manufacturers in the world.

Xiaomi authorities claim that the new car has super electric motor technology, which will be able to give faster speed than electric cars of Tesla and other companies. Besides, Xiaomi mobile users will also get special benefits in this car. There will also be some technologies in this car, which have not been seen in China before.

Lei Jun said that two sports car models of the Porsche company, SU7 and SU7 Max, are modeled after the Taycan and Panamera. Both vehicles have a minimum range of 700 km, while Tesla’s Model 3 generation vehicles have a minimum range of 567 km. In addition to the regular manual, the AU 7 and SU 7 Max can also be operated with smartphones, laptops and other electronic devices.

Incidentally, Xiaomi is the third largest smartphone selling company in the world. As a percentage of the number of smartphones sold in the market every year, 12 percent of them come from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi announced the production of the first electric car in 2022. Lei Jun told the BBC that their company is going to sign an agreement with China’s state-owned car manufacturer BAIC soon. If the deal is signed, Xiaomi will take over BAIC’s Beijing plant. This plant produces an average of 2 lakh vehicles every year.

According to the British media BBC, through this, Xiaomi entered into competition with Elon Musk’s car manufacturer Tesla. However, Tesla has a huge demand in China’s domestic market. Among the Tesla Model 3 generation cars that are readily available in the Chinese market, the cheapest price is 245,900 Yuan (37,37,421 Tk in Bangladeshi currency).

Besides Tesla, one of Xiaomi’s competitors is another Chinese company, BYD. By the end of 2023, BYD has overtaken Tesla to become the top seller of electric cars. The company has sold a record 5 lakh 25 thousand 409 electric cars in the last three months. At the same time Tesla sold 484 thousand 507 cars.
