“ID Austria” is a complete success – “Digital Office” & “eIDs” ensure de-bureaucratization and simplification – Claudia Plakolm is the right woman to take on digitization agendas
Vienna (OTS) – “Florian Tursky was a driving force for digitalization during his time as State Secretary and can look back on a successful term of office, especially with the ‘ID Austria’ project,” emphasizes ÖVP club chairman August Wöginger on Tursky’s departure as State Secretary, which was announced today. Tursky will now devote himself “fully” to the election campaign in Innsbruck and the race for the office of mayor there.
With applications such as the “digital office” or the “eIDs” app, the State Secretary for Digitalization has set a “course for modernity, proximity to citizens and de-bureaucratization” that will continue to accompany the administration in Austria in the future, said Wöginger. “Whether it’s the digital proof of age, the digital driver’s license or the digital registration certificate – Florian Tursky’s work as State Secretary will continue,” emphasizes the ÖVP club chairman. Now, with Youth State Secretary Claudia Plakolm, “the right woman will take over the digitization agenda and successfully continue on the path we have chosen. I congratulate her on that,” said Wöginger, who concluded: “I wish Florian Tursky all the best and much success for the local council and mayoral elections Innsbruck.” (Ending)
