At the ‘Cecilia Caballero de López’ House of Culture in Valledupar, the awards ceremony for the 34th Patillal Land of Composers Festival was held in tribute to Palmina Daza, held at the end of last December.
The award, for more than 25 million pesos, was awarded to the winners of the Unpublished Vallenata Song, Youth Accordion, Children’s Piqueria, Children’s Painting and Kite Painting contests.
The president of the contest, Ana Carolina Molina Daza, highlighted the support of the contestants, visitors, authorities, artists, juries, logistics, the people of Patillal and allies to make it happen.
“With everyone’s support, the Patillal Land of Composers Festival, version 34, was able to move forward in tribute to Palminita Daza. For three days, different activities were developed, getting to know the talent and creativity of the different contestants. Congratulations to the winners and at the end of the year we return with a new appointment,” said Ana Carolina Molina.
