What happened to Juanse Laverde after winning ‘La Voz Kids’?

Year after year, this stage has witnessed the arrival of millions of young artists from all over the country, seeking to become the perfect voice to succeed in each season of the competitive musical reality show.

These young people established themselves as the most outstanding artists of ‘The voice Kids’which at the time gave them the opportunity to perform on important stages and establish themselves as prominent figures in the artistic world.

Precisely, Kienyke.com spoke with the winner of the 2018 musical reality show, Juanse Laverdewho currently works as a pop singer and is remembered for having adapted the song ‘How to look at you’ in his style, which led him to be part of the Yatra team.

5 years have passed since his victory in ‘La Voz’ and he assures that: “It has been a quite challenging process (…) with the arrival of the pandemic, but I still persevered. Today, with so many recognitions and successful tours, “It’s been something incredible.”

From criticism to admiration

Furthermore, Juanse revealed that after leaving the program he faced many criticism, something that marked him at first, but that he later understood was part of progress.

“People make a character out of you (…), comments like: “What a disappointment; “He is no longer the boy with the voice.” I’m not interested in meeting certain expectations, I think I am a unique artist, it has been hard, but I try to keep my mind well focused,” highlighted the former ‘La Voz’ participant, in addition to expressing that he is proud of who he is now.

At the age of 11 he reached the peak of success

An event in his artistic career that Juan Sebastián will never forget is having reached the stages of ‘The voice Kids’ In 2018, this fact opened her path to what is now her career as a singer.

“You never think you’re going to win among 15 thousand children. The world of music is the same. God has been a fundamental part of my career,” he expressed to Kienyke.com.

In addition, the young performer added that he recently released his album ‘Alma’, which has a long story that tells part of his life. “It is a work of art made towards my life from the voice.”

In the middle of the conversation, the former reality show winner expressed that there are songs that precisely encompass that stage after leaving ‘La Voz’, but that no longer identify him. “What a shame because I can’t be that kid again.”I would like to, but I’m not going to be and you shouldn’t want to try again. “I reconsidered and I should feel proud.”

Juanse assured that he does not intend to be a viral artist, however, if he wants to put that cure in people’s hearts through pop, “I would love to be the flag bearer of my country and represent Colombia with this genre (…) My first genre was ranchera, but I would like to experiment, for example with jazz and pop.”
