It has been two years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. On the occasion of Saturday (February 24), the leaders of several Western countries visited Kiev. Their visit is mainly to show support for Ukraine.

In addition to economic uncertainty due to the ongoing war, the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Crewe started their journey by train from Ukraine. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was with them at that time.

Their visit reflects the West’s commitment to Ukraine. However, Volodymyr Zelensky’s country has recently been plagued by a shortage of military equipment.

Ursula von der Leyen said in a statement that she is now in Kiev to celebrate the resistance of the people of Ukraine. We stand firmly with Ukraine. The country will be supported economically, militarily and morally before the Ukrainian people are fully liberated.

Two years have passed since the war in Ukraine, but there are no signs that the war will end anytime soon. Neither Ukraine nor Russia, nor any of their allies, have shown any sign of peace.
