Presidential candidate Zahid Oruj’s election headquarters issued a statement.

“After the great Victory won in the 44-day Patriotic War, the new address of the spirit of victory in the country was the presidential elections held in Azerbaijan. Holding 83 elections in 78 countries in 2024 and announcing early elections in 24 countries in the last 3 months, most importantly, Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty His restoration has clearly revealed that the holding of these Presidential elections is the correct supreme decision.
Great opportunities have been created for all political parties, independent organizations and associations, as well as individual entrepreneurs in the country, and their participation in the election has been ensured. Using this opportunity, Zahid Oruj decided to participate in the presidential elections as an independent candidate.
The election headquarters of presidential candidate Zahid Oruj, which was established in a short period of time, has started a signature collection campaign, taking advantage of the democratic election environment in the country. Without facing any obstacles, signatures were collected from the territory of most electoral constituencies of the country and submitted to the Central Election Commission, and as a result of valid signatures, Zahid Oruj’s candidacy was registered.
The active election propaganda work, which started on January 15, covered the entire territory of the country based on the plan of the Election Headquarters. In the meetings held with the participation of thousands of voters in the capital and regions, the platform of presidential candidate Zahid Oruj was presented and the issues of concern to the population were heard on the spot. During the propaganda process, it was observed that the presidential elections held in Azerbaijan were held under the conditions of full protection of freedoms, within the framework of protection of basic rights and freedoms by law. Fair and free elections, held in conditions where democratic principles are protected, the rule of law is followed, and no pressure is applied to candidates, have become a real competition for candidates.
The Central Election Commission has created very fertile conditions and opportunities for candidates to conduct their free propaganda on television, radio and the press. The election headquarters of presidential candidate Zahid Oruç did not face any obstacles or pressure during active campaigning and on the voting day, and our observers, who watched the elections in precincts and constituencies throughout the country, had a positive impression of the election.
Although it is very difficult to fight against the candidate Ilham Aliyev, who led his people to victory and turned his country into a victorious country, these elections gave our team a positive experience and enabled us to communicate more closely with the people. Based on the opinion of our observers, we consider the preliminary results of the elections as an indicator of the will of the Azerbaijani people, and we heartily congratulate Ilham Aliyev, the candidate of the New Azerbaijan Party, who was re-elected as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan after winning these elections. We wish President Ilham Aliyev success in his difficult and honorable work to create a new Azerbaijan that can keep pace with the world against the backdrop of global tensions.”
