Implementation of energy efficient solutions
Team has been applying energy-efficient solutions for several years, using solar energy for communication and communication power supply. In 2023, 8 more solar plants were added to the 25 already operating solar plants to be used in the company’s work, due to which the share of solar products in the total energy consumption recorded an increase of about 7% compared to the previous year. This process will be continuous in the company.
In order to promote the use of electric vehicles, the network of Team Energy fast charging stations has been launched. Now there are about 50 stations in the entire territory of Armenia. To use the charging stations, you need to download the Team Energy application.
In addition, this company prefers electric cars in its fleet. the share of cars with silent engines and zero emissions is 14%.
As a result of Team’s strategic plan, the construction of the NGN network, copper cables are replaced by fiber optic network, which significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions. It should also be noted that as a result of the launch of this network, the company saved 275,630 KWh of electricity in 2023 alone.
Waste reduction and sustainable development
To avoid the creation of electronic waste (e-waste), the company repairs and reuses communication devices. Thus, in 2023, more than 14,000 electronic telecommunications devices did not end up in landfills, but were repaired, upgraded and reused. Compared to the previous year, the volumes of paper recycling increased by 36%, and thanks to the implemented eSIM service, the company avoided the use of about 600 kg of plastic, recording an annual increase of 57% in avoided plastic. In order not to accumulate paper waste, E-pen (electronic pen) technology is also available in all Team branches.
