Publika.az “Izvestia” newspaper was informed about this by experts of “Gemotest” laboratory.

According to Yelena Gorina, a general practitioner and a specialist of the “Gemotest” laboratory, the lack of this vitamin can manifest itself as bone deformation in children, muscle and joint pain in adults, hair loss, pressure and infertility. However, large amounts of vitamin D are toxic.

B vitamins – B12, B6 and B1 come in second place in terms of popularity. At the same time, the level of vitamins B6 (pyridoxine) and B1 (thiamine) is below the norm in every 10th patient.

“The optimal level of B vitamins ensures proper functioning of the nervous and cardiovascular systems, muscles,” said Gorina.

High levels of vitamin B12 can cause blood clots, allergic reactions, and heart failure.

Among the studies on mineral and micronutrient levels, calcium was the most requested. In 5 percent of the analyses, its indicator was lower than the established norm.

Serum iron was the second most popular in this group of studies.

Previously, doctors from Harvard found that vitamin D had a worse effect in overweight people.
