Mumbai Actor Vijay Deverakonda’s team has filed an official complaint with the Cyberabad Police and claimed that Arjun Reddy’s fame is being unnecessarily attacked. Not only this, the complaint also states that his latest release Family Star is being targeted with malicious intentions. A member of Vijay’s team shared the update on his X handle, in which the actor’s representatives can be seen handing over the copy of the complaint to the police. He termed the trolling against Vijay as a “planned attack and planned negative campaign”.
Vijay is yet to issue any statement on the police complaint. Meanwhile, during a promotional event of Family Star, Vijay was asked about trolls questioning the grand set-up of a film song Kalyani Vacha Vacha , which tells the story of a middle-class couple. To that, the actor had reacted strongly and said that no one involved in the making of the film was “stupid”.
“I don’t understand, are people really confused or do they just want to troll us?” Grand dream sequences have always been a part of Indian films but they were never questioned, he asked. He also urged people to watch the film till the end before jumping to conclusions. Family Star released in theaters on 5 April and the film managed to collect Rs 11 crore after its first weekend at the box office. Directed by Parasuram Petala, it has received mixed responses from audiences and critics alike, and has failed to see a rise in its numbers.
