Vietnam vs Indonesia National Team First Round Results: Garuda Leads 2-0!

The Indonesian national team took a 2-0 lead over Vietnam in the first half 2026 World Cup Qualification . Goals were scored by Jay Idzes and Ragnar Oratmangoen.

The match was held at Vietnam’s headquarters at the My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi, Tuesday (26/3/2024). The Indonesian squad is aiming for victory by fielding the best squad.

Jay Idzes immediately opened the scoring with a header in the first half. To be precise, in the 9th minute, Idzes headed the ball into Vietnam’s goal after receiving a corner kick from Thom Haye. Score 1-0 for Indonesia’s advantage.

In the 27th minute, the Indonesian National Team doubled its lead to 2-0 through Ragnar Oratmangoen’s individual action. The newly naturalized player scored a goal after combing and piercing the Vietnamese defense. This was his first goal in his first appearance with the Indonesian National Team.

The 2-0 score lasted until the first half ended. Indonesia is predicted to increase its goal tally in the second half.
