Vefsn, Helgeland | Helgeland Kraft Strøm signs its largest contract ever

– We are proud to be able to supply electricity to such a large national player. This agreement shows that we are competitive on the national market. This is a confirmation of Helgeland Kraft Strøm’s strong position as an electricity supplier to Norwegian companies, says Arild Markussen, CEO of Helgeland Kraft Strøm, in a press release.

The concluded agreement is for approx. 500 gigawatt hours, which corresponds to the consumption of almost 30,000 households.

According to the electricity company, VENI Metering is a solid and professional operator that deals with valid and stable solutions for its customers. This requires close collaboration with partners and suppliers.

– In the dialogue with VENI Metering there was good communication and the parties were solution-oriented to reach a win-win agreement for both companies, says corporate sales manager Lars-Andreas Østvik.

VENI Energy Group has 48,000 customers in the Nordic countries with a total annual consumption of ten terawatt hours.

The agreement with VENI Metering involves the physical delivery of meters to shopping centers and commercial buildings owned by major Norwegian real estate companies. This is a spot price agreement where all energy is traded at Nordpool Spot on behalf of VENI Metering.

– It is important to clarify that it is not the local electricity produced in Helgeland that is sold, but a raw material that we purchase at the Nordpool Spot and sell to the customer. We want to create value for our landowner municipalities in Helgeland and this is an agreement that contributes in this context, says Østvik.
