The two contenders for the anointing of the Republicans and the Democrats respectively for the presidential elections in November swept

They played without an opponent almost yesterday “Super Tuesday” in the USA by Donald Trump and Joe Biden in the race for the anointing of their candidate Republicans and of Democrats respectively for the presidential elections of November.

Donald Trump now prevails in 12 of 15 states where internal Republican votes were held yesterday, according to the latest estimates and statistical projections of American media.

The former president, according to their calculations, won in Virginia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Maine, Arkansas, Alabama, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Colorado his only rival now in the race, Nikki Haley, his government’s former ambassador to the UN.

It also emerges as a winner in the Texas, a large state in the American South, and in California. These are the two most populous American states.

“It was an awesome night, an awesome day,” the mogul told supporters at his Mar-a-Lago, Florida, residence.

His opponent, Nikki Haley however, he was denied the sweep, the absolute victory (15/15), as it is estimated that he won in the state Vermontsparsely populated area on the border with Canada.

On the other side, of the Democrats, although the 81-year-old American president Joe Biden “swept” all the states where votes were held to nominate the Democratic candidate, one… poor and lonely region resisted him: the American Samoaan archipelago in the Pacific, chose instead this completely worthless anointing claimant Jason Palmer.

According to statistical projections and predictions by American media, the businessman, with 51 votes to President Biden’s 40, won the six delegates at the party convention that were at stake.

“Finally, something special and unexpected on this boring Super Tuesday,” University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato commented via X. “PS: I have no idea who that is,” he added, referring to Jason Palmer.

Because of its status as a territory rather than a state, the approximately 40,000 residents in American Samoa are not eligible to vote in presidential elections.

The internal Republican vote in Samoa will take place the day after tomorrow, Friday. After Washington and Vermont, this may be one of Nikki Haley’s last chances to defeat Donald Trump.

“Super Tuesday” is a crucial matchup in every election season in the US, as votes are held in 15 states and one territory (American Samoa) to select the candidates of the two major parties in the presidential elections.

Millions of Americans voted yesterday in their primary ballots ahead of the November 5th presidential election.
