Increasing Inoculation: UOCRA Bahía Blanca’s Strategy

Following the successful flu vaccination day held at its headquarters last week, the Bahía Blanca section of the Construction Workers’ Union of the Argentine Republic (UOCRA) is set to implement another strategy to further increase the number of inoculated individuals.

During the initial campaign, 120 doses were administered at Saavedra 470. However, starting next week, the operation will be taken to different ongoing construction sites in the city and the surrounding region.

“We will begin with the workers at the Mormon temple on Cabrera Avenue, and subsequently, every 21 days, we will repeat the process at other construction sites in the city and the area,” explained Carlos Boer, the general secretary of UOCRA Bahía Blanca.

A Collaborative Effort for Vaccination

The decision to conduct a traveling vaccination operation was made in collaboration between the union leader and Laureano Alimenti, the associate director of Sanitary Region 1. Sanitary Region 1 provides the necessary doses and personnel for administering the vaccines.

“The Health Region and the Youth and Women departments of the union have worked together to achieve this great outcome. The response from our members has been very positive, allowing us to vaccinate the elderly, children, and individuals at risk, which was our primary objective,” added Boer.

Expressing gratitude for the dedication and effort put forth by everyone involved, Boer emphasized the importance of providing vital protection against influenza to those who need it the most.

Achieving a Healthier and Safer Future

The vaccination campaign was a collective endeavor, with each individual contributing their time, knowledge, and skills to ensure that all members and their loved ones could easily access the vaccine.

“We recognize that every needle prick represents an act of care and commitment to the health of our community, and we deeply appreciate it. From planning and logistics to the administration of vaccines, everyone has played a crucial role in the success of this campaign,” stated Boer.

Boer extended his special thanks to those who carried out the operation, acknowledging their exemplary dedication and tireless efforts in providing an invaluable service to the community.

Vaccination serves as a fundamental tool in disease prevention and the protection of overall health. Boer emphasized the importance of active participation in the campaign, as it contributes to building a more resilient society capable of facing health challenges.

Exploring the Hospital Facilities

Prior to the vaccination campaign, Carlos Boer visited the facilities of the Dr. José Penna Interzonal Hospital. Accompanied by the hospital’s Executive Director, Mr. Jorge Moyano, Associate Director Dr. Alejandra Erb, and Laureano Alimenti from Health Region 1, the visit aimed to gain firsthand knowledge of the facilities and discuss community-related issues and hospital operations.
