Unnatural deaths due to wrong treatment in the famous hospitals of the country are not stopping. Although these incidents have created a stir, no solution has been found. The unusual death of a patient while undergoing treatment for a minor problem at Nami Hospital is worrying the parents and common people. The question of parents and relatives of the patient, how big will be the march of death due to wrong treatment, will shake the state.
Recently, two babies died during circumcision and an unusual death during endoscopy has created a stir across the country. Ahnaf Tahmid (10) died while undergoing circumcision at JS Diagnostic and Medical Checkup Center in Malibagh on Tuesday (February 20) and a young man named Rahib Reza (31) died while undergoing endoscopy at LabAid Hospital in Dhanmondi a day earlier on Monday (February 19). Earlier on January 7, baby Ayan died while undergoing circumcision at the United Medical College Hospital in Satarkul, Badda.
Even if complaints are filed in these incidents, the victims’ relatives and common people suffer from a crisis of confidence in justice. There is panic among the common people about the health sector and medical system of the country.
According to experts, there is a need to quickly frame the health care law in the country. And healthcare providers and institutions need regular monitoring. Healthcare institutions need to be held accountable.

Death of baby Ayaan while undergoing circumcision
On December 31 last year, five-year-old Ayan lost consciousness after his family took him to the United Medical College Hospital, Badda, for circumcision. Later he was taken to United Hospital in Gulshan and kept on life support. The child died there on January 7 this year. An investigation committee was formed in this regard. After that, when the investigation report was presented to the court, the court formed another investigation committee saying that the report was eyewash. A bench of Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice Atabullah passed the order. The committee has been directed to inquire into the matter and submit a report within 30 days.

A 31-year-old Rahib Reza died of cardiac arrest while undergoing endoscopy at LabAid Hospital in Dhanmondi of the capital. Relatives complained that Rahib went to the hospital for treatment on foot. Anesthesia was administered to Rahib Reza at LabAid Hospital without seeing the test report. Endoscopy is performed in physical complications. Due to which he suffered a cardiac arrest and eventually died due to complications. Dr. Rahib Reza, a liver expert who died. Mamun Al Mahtab was undergoing treatment under Sapnail.

If a patient dies while receiving treatment and there is any negligence on the part of the hospital authorities and doctors, it will be prosecuted through the ongoing legal case.
Convenor of National Health Rights Movement and former president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Professor Dr. Rashid-e Mahbub told Jago News that no doctor wants a patient to die. This happens in different countries. However, hospitals need regular monitoring. There needs to be an investigation.
He said wrong messages are being sent to the society about doctors in unexpected deaths. For this, the concerned doctors, state and regulatory bodies cannot avoid responsibility. Why these are happening, whether the doctor was wrong and negligent or not, what is their experience and skill, they need to be seen.
