The current World Women’s Day weekend is in some ways a prelude to the next long weekend looming on the horizon. Thanks to this year’s calendar, many holidays fell on a Friday. Just yesterday, March 8 was a perfect illustration of this. The Easter weekend which is looming on the horizon is one of the four long weekends that 2024 has in total. This weekend should run from March 29 to April 1. That is, four days of “ well deserved rest “ for Malagasy workers. Indeed, the celebration of the Easter holiday will be initiated by the commemoration of the rebellion of March 29, 1947.
