Mikhail Podoliak, adviser to the chief of staff of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, complained about the “negative taste” left after the attack of the Armed Forces of the country (AFU) in 2023.
Publika.az reports that he admitted that the Ukrainian army made “certain tactical mistakes”. According to him, both the military and political leadership of the republic are talking about this.
“This is not a problem, this is a war, not an event. Russia is fighting against us, not some country with small resources.”
In this regard, the adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office called on the Western allies to continue helping Kiev and increase the supply of certain types of weapons.
He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine “will be able to realize their strategic goals only if they stop being on the defensive.”
Podoliak’s statement was made against the background of rumors about Zelensky’s intention to remove the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zalujny. This development of events was spread by both Ukrainian politicians and high-ranking Western media sources.
