Australia defeated Pakistan by one wicket in the semi-final of the Under-19 World Cup on Thursday.
According to the French news agency AFP, Australia won the toss and invited the Pakistani team to bat first.
Tom Stricker took six wickets for Australia with 24 runs. Thanks to his brilliant bowling, the Pakistan team was bowled out for 179 runs.
Despite Harry Dixon’s 50 and Oliver Peck’s 49, Australia started to look defeated when they lost their ninth wicket, still needing 16 runs to win.
Raf McMillan and last man Calum Wadler gave Australia the win. In the end, McMillan scored a four over fine leg to give the team victory.
Left hand spinner Arafat Minhas got two wickets by giving 20 runs while fast bowler Ali Raza got 4 players out by giving 34 runs.
Arafat Minhas also batted well and helped his team achieve a defendable target with a 52-run stand with Azan Owais.
The tall streaker surprised the Pakistani batsmen with aggressive short pitch bowling on a fast and bouncy pitch.

Pakistan scored 179 runs in 48.5 overs. Azan Owais scored 52 runs and Arafat Minhas scored 52 runs. On behalf of Australia, Tom Stricker gave 24 runs and dismissed six players.
Australia scored 181 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 49.1 overs. H Dixon scored 50 runs and O Pack scored 49 runs. On behalf of Pakistan, Ali Raza dismissed four players by giving 34 runs, while Arafat Minhas guided two players to the pavilion for 20 runs.
Australia will face defending champions India in the final at the same venue on Sunday.
India (five) and Australia (three) have won the most U-19 World Cup titles. They had previously faced each other in 2012 and 2018, both times India won the final.
