With Economical Delivery, in the 2 weeks leading up to Tet, the sudden increase in the volume of e-commerce goods transferred by the unit’s system affected the quality of operations. At the end of January 2023, Savings Delivery had to temporarily stop accepting orders in some local areas to focus on organizing the delivery of goods congested in the network. To date, most of the orders have been delivered, and this unit is expected to deliver the goods until they are received by Tet 30.

With Viettel Post, the team of this postal enterprise has also prepared early plans to organize the circulation of goods. In the month leading up to Lunar New Year 2024, order output through Viettel Post was recorded to increase sharply by 80%, at one point reaching nearly 2 million orders/day.

“This is the highest order output/day in the past 27 years at Viettel Post, with mainly e-commerce items. However, thanks to having an early plan, arranging appropriate personnel and vehicles, and the support of technology, we are still well controlling the flow of goods, ensuring transportation on time as committed.”Viettel Post representative said.

Business representatives all affirmed that technology is effectively supporting their units’ operations, especially during the Tet holiday period. For example, the smart sorting technology complex in Quang Minh (Hanoi) that Viettel Post put into operation last year has helped shorten the time of the entire postal process from 8-10 hours, increasing efficiency by 3. 5 times and the error rate in sorting is almost 0. The app for postmen has features such as routing, planning travel plans to ensure the shortest and fastest to facilitate delivery and receipt of goods. .

For Vietnam Post, central post offices in provinces and cities are open until February 8 and reopen from February 13 (the 4th day of Tet), with opening and closing hours determined by the owners. The action is applied based on the actual amount of postal items generated.

District and town post offices or Commune Post – Culture Offices, based on the actual situation, customs and practices of each specific area, the local Post Office will proactively close – open and arrange number of transaction staff in the direction of optimizing customer service efficiency.

Activities related to COD payments through the Vietnam Post system are temporarily suspended from February 9 to February 12 and return to normal operations from February 13. Goods delivery has also been resumed by Vietnam Post since February 12.

Notably, during this year’s Tet holiday, Viettel Post remains open to serve throughout Tet, accepting postal items at all post offices nationwide, with opening hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from February 8. until February 14.
