Focus on resilience and crisis management
Vienna (OTS) – The urgent need to become more resilient to crises on a global level is the focus of the upcoming “LEADERSHIP PREPAREDNESS SYMPOSIUM”, which will take place on May 21st and 22nd in Vienna. The event, led by the professors of the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative (NPLI) at the prestigious HARVARD UNIVERSITY, aims to promote a transatlantic dialogue on the challenges and solutions in the area of resilience and critical infrastructure protection.
With representatives from Austrian ministries as well as key infrastructure and economic companies, the symposium promises a rich discussion about concepts and best practices. The focus will be on topics such as cyber security, sustainable economy, infrastructure, health, new technologies and climate change.
A central aspect of the symposium is the transatlantic exchange, which will be further deepened through the establishment of the new METALEADERS.ORG Institute. The institute, which will be based in both Vienna and Washington, acts as an open platform for dialogue between business, politics, media and research.
“Dialogue and networking are key factors for resilience to crises,” emphasizes Prof. Leonard Marcus, a leading expert at the NPLI at HARVARD UNIVERSITY. “We firmly believe that transatlantic exchange is crucial to finding innovative solutions to the complex challenges of our time to develop.”
The Leadership Preparedness Symposium promises a rich source of insights and ideas that can help improve the resilience of societies and companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
