Trade unions and WKÖ agree on KV agreement for airports – 2024-04-22 11:42:17

Wages and salaries rise by 7% plus improvements in the legal framework

Vienna (OTS) After intensive negotiations on Thursday, the social partners agreed on an adjustment of the actual and KV wages and salaries of the collective agreement for airports and ground handling companies by 7.0% as well as improvements to the framework law as of May 1, 2024. The inflation rate of the last 12 months, which was 6.34%, was used as the basis for the KV negotiations. Apprentice incomes will also be increased by 7.0%.

The agreed increases are therefore above the inflation rate and not only ensure that the purchasing power of all wages and salaries is maintained, but also bring a real increase in income for all employees. All social partners involved, the GPA and vida unions on the employee side and the aviation professional group of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ) on the employer side, are satisfied and emphasize the constructive style of the collective bargaining negotiations.

The collective agreement applies to 6,500 employees. (PWK149/DFS)
