Riddhi, who is 6 years old and has the alias “T-124”, has been seen hunting crocodiles before.
As reported by IFL Science, Thursday (25/4/2024), in February, a video showed Riddhi approaching a crocodile at the water’s edge, although the crocodile managed to escape into the water.
However, this time Riddhi did not fail. Pictures and videos recorded by tourists show the tiger and its three cubs eating the crocodile. Riddhi’s three cubs were born in 2023, and this is the first time they were seen with Riddhi in the wild.
The arrival of baby crocodiles in this national park has raised concerns about their safety, so the national park has increased monitoring in the area. However, ironically, it may be the crocodiles who need protection from Riddhi and her ferocious cubs!
This moment is a reminder of the power and ferocity of wild nature, as well as the importance of maintaining ecosystem balance.
Ranthambore National Park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, and this moment shows how predators like Riddhi play an important role in keeping the animal population in balance in the park.
