Pain is a warning system that signals a problem in the body and is beneficial to the body. If we numb it with a painkiller, the underlying disease causing the discomfort is getting worse. As a result, it becomes difficult to examine the disease that has passed into the chronic phase.
Publika.az axar.az reports that these words were said by a neurologist Galib Asadov said.
He said that uncontrolled use of painkillers can lead to death:
“The drug used by a person with high blood pressure to relieve pain may cause temporary relief, but it can also cause a hematoma in the brain. Even some people have an allergic reaction to these preparations. When the process called anaphylactic shock (allergic reaction with lightning speed) occurs, a person can suffocate due to respiratory tract spasm or die as a result of a sudden drop in blood pressure.”
Touching on the addictive nature of painkillers, the doctor emphasized that over-the-counter drugs that do not contain narcotics cannot cause any addiction:
“Nevertheless, people with stomach ulcers, gastritis, kidney or liver problems should use these drugs under the supervision of a doctor. Overuse of drugs can damage other organs. Therefore, it is recommended that children, teenagers and middle-aged people be careful.”
