Yesterday, President Ilham Aliyev gave an interview to local TV channels. During the meeting, he announced all the details and conditions of peace.
Hulusi Kılıç, former ambassador of Turkey to our country, Turkish representative of “IMZA” Social Development Support Public Union Publika.azsaid in his statement that Armenia needs peace:
“Azerbaijan has restored the territorial integrity and continuity of its lands. The president made this clear in his statement to local television channels. How many offers have there been so far. The latest proposals are now understood to have created what is needed to sign a peace treaty. We know that some people in Armenia are delaying the signing of this peace agreement. Azerbaijan’s response to the latest proposals after 70 days clearly shows this.
We expect the parties to come together and finalize the settlement agreement in the next period. Now, Azerbaijan will set its conditions both in peace and in the 44-day war. It has been and will be. Of course, the conditions are in accordance with the norms of international law. The absence of any important issues related to Karabakh and Karabakh in Armenia’s latest proposals is considered an important element for the signing of the peace agreement.
The former ambassador added that Armenia must now come to terms with the new reality:
“This new reality is that Azerbaijan bought its lands. Those lands did not belong to Armenia anyway. If the peace treaty is signed, the relations between Turkey and Armenia will be normalized. First of all, this is an important issue. What does it mean? He will open the border with Armenia and establish diplomatic relations. There is no enmity between the peoples of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
But it is the politicians who created the problem. The soon signing of the peace agreement is the beginning of peace, security, stability and development in the region. Azerbaijan is ready to do its part as a modern, developed state for the peace agreement. We are waiting for the signing of this peace agreement. 2024 will be a very important year for relations between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Armenia.”
