25 years after his death, Cris Miro (Her) arrives at MAX for the entire region this June 23.
The original biopic series tells the story of the first Argentine trans woman to become famous as a star.
With eight 30-minute episodes, the story based on the novel Female, Cris Miró – Living and dying in a country of males, by Carlos Sanzol, will cover the life and career of one of the most imposing and emblematic exponents of the 90s.
In 1995, Cris Miró was chosen as the first trans star of the Maipo Theater magazine in Buenos Aires.
A sensual and ambitious Cris saw the opportunity to present herself to the world as she really felt.
She built her identity as Cris Miró, a magnetic woman who achieved, in the heat of fame, visibility and acceptance in Argentine society. However, a positive HIV diagnosis shook her plans and led her to disguise her agony to die as beautiful as she lived.
With a script by Martín Vatenberg and Lucas Bianchini, and directed by Martín Vatenberg in collaboration with Javier Van de Couter, the series stars Mina Serrano in the role of Cris Miró and will feature stellar performances by Katja Alemann, César Bordón, Agustín “ I am Rada” Aristarán, Vico D´Alessandro, Marcos Montes, Toto Rovito, Manu Fanego, Martín “Campi” Campilongo, Carolina Kopelioff, Alejandro Tantanian and Adabel Guerrero, among others.
Cris Miró meant a revolution and continues to be a pioneer of a struggle that is still valid today.
Cris Miró, the original TNT and Flow series produced by Nativa and EO Media, will be a journey through time to rediscover the aesthetics, the situation and the show business of the time. Starting June 24 it will be available on Max.
And, in addition, in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay it can be seen on June 23 on TNT and will be complete on Flow starting the following day.
