Mayor Homero Martínez Cabrera announced the resolution of a problem that affected families of teachers in the municipality of Lerdo. After more than two decades of uncertainty, he finally began the first stage of construction of his homes.
These are families who never received their homes despite having paid for them for more than two decades, so they will now have legal certainty for their assets. The initiative sought to restore the rights of these education workers, who saw their land mortgaged on two occasions by a local construction company.
With an investment of 26 million pesos, it is expected to complete the delivery of 49 homes, which will guarantee legal certainty and their family assets after 20 years.
The councilor thanked the Governor of the State, Esteban Villegas Villarreal and the undersecretary, Raúl Meraz, as well as the Housing Fund of the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (FOVISSSTE), for the teamwork carried out in recent months to solve this social problem.
In recent days, the councilor accompanied the architect, César Buenrostro Morenos, advisor to FOVISSSTE and the construction company, to review the construction work of a first number of the homes, where he supervised compliance with basic services, water and drainage.
“We, as a municipality, gave all possible facilities for this project to come to fruition. We did not charge anything to the builder and we provided facilities in water and drainage issues. Our objective was always to benefit these families who have invested their effort and resources for years “, highlighted Homero Martínez.
