The National Meteorological Service (SMN) announced the forecast for weather in Mexico for this April 25, 2024which predicts heat, rain and tornadoes.
A dry line will remain over northern Mexico and will interact with the subtropical jet stream and with a trough at medium and high levels of the atmosphere that will extend over the northwest of the country, forecasting strong to very strong wind gusts, rain and showers accompanied by electric shocks and possible hail in the northwest, north and northeast of the Mexican Republic, with the probability of formation of whirlwinds or tornadoes in Coahuila.
In turn, low pressure channels in the interior and southeast of the national territory, in combination with the entry of humidity from the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, will produce rains and showers, electric shocks and possible hail in the center, east and southeast of the Mexican Republic, as well as in the Yucatán Peninsula.
According to the statement from the agency dependent on the National Water Commission (Conagua), the hot to very hot environment will continue with temperatures above 40 °C over entities on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, the southeast of the country and the Yucatan Peninsula.
Mexico Climate: Maximum temperature today April 25, 2024
For today, April 25, 2024, a warm and hot environment is forecast in Michoacán and Guerrero with temperatures above 45 °C. As well as maximum temperatures of 40 to 45 °C in Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Morelos, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Tabasco and Campeche.
Weather in CDMX and Edomex: isolated rains and up to 30 °C are expected
In the Valley of Mexico, cool weather and partly cloudy skies are expected today, April 25, 2024, in the morning. During the afternoon, warm atmosphere, partly cloudy to cloudy sky with the probability of isolated rains that could be accompanied by electric shocks in the State of Mexico (Edomex) and no rain in the Mexico City (CDMX).
The minimum temperature in CDMX will be 14 to 16 °C and the maximum 28 to 30 °C. For Toluca, Edomex, the minimum temperature will be 7 to 9 °C and the maximum 25 to 27 °C.
