The Government of President Nayib Bukele delivered 2.49 kilometers of renovated streets, with an asphalt surface, to the inhabitants of the urban area of ​​the Verapaz district, municipality of San Vicente Sur, through the National Patching Plan.

The project consisted of removing the damaged surface, such as removing it, leveling the streets and placing a tread of better quality and durability.

Among some recovered roads are: 1st South Avenue, 4th North Avenue, 3rd Poniente Street, 4th, 7th and 8th East Street, as well as the roads of the Nueva Verapaz and Guzmán neighborhoods, which are benefiting more than 6,300 inhabitants.

Other complementary measures included the construction of speed bumps, curbs, finishing touches such as changing drinking water pipes. With this, the Government has not only improved road circulation in the urban area of ​​Verapaz but is also promoting the economy and trade in agricultural products such as vegetables and sugar cane.

This is not the only DOM road work in the urban area of ​​Verapaz since on March 7, nearly 470 linear meters of hydraulic concrete surfaces and more than 300 linear meters of paving stones were delivered.

These improvements are in addition to the 25 streets completely renovated by the DOM in the center of Verapaz on October 14, 2023, which involved the reconstruction of 2.5 kilometers of asphalt surface.

With the National Patching Plan, the DOM has recovered around 150 roads throughout San Vicente in the departmental capital alone and is advancing with other projects in other districts such as Guadalupe, Tecoluca, San Sebastián, Apastepeque and San Lorenzo.

Other rural street improvement projects are being carried out in San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, Tepetitán and San Cayetano Istepeque, among others.

The DOM delivered a hemodialysis clinic in Tecoluca, where a comprehensive center for citizen coexistence is also being built; It is also advancing in the revitalization of the Historic Center of San Vicente, in the municipal park of San Esteban Catarina and in the construction of a school in Santo Domingo, thus demonstrating that in this Government “Together we are building the new El Salvador” and that the money is enough when no one steals.
