The Government of Cesar delivered 160 motorcycles to the National Police in this department and they will be distributed in the 25 municipalities, to increase patrolling by uniformed personnel and continue improving security in the territory.
“We are receiving these vehicles for the service of the community, for the service of all the inhabitants of the Cesar department. Support for our police officers, so that they have better mobility and reach places where they cannot reach by car,” said Colonel Eduardo Chamorro Pinzón, commander of the Cesar Police Department.
With these new vehicles, police officers will be able to provide more effective, timely and appropriate attention to the community, which will increase operational and preventive results to maintain proper coexistence and citizen security.
“We need to guarantee that all Caesarians spend their December in peace, tranquility, harmony and with family, that is why we deliver these motorcycles in the middle of the Safe Christmas Plan,” said Governor Andrés Meza.
The president also emphasized that “we have worked in an articulated manner with all members of the public force, intelligence agencies and entities with jurisdiction in the matter,” he said.
During these four years, the departmental administration delivered 420 motorcycles to the public force, of which 360 were for the Police and 60 for the Army.
