They capture a couple who robbed restaurant customers in Texistepeque

A couple of criminals were arrested by elements of the National Civil Police (PNC) after they stole the belongings of customers from a restaurant located in the Texistepeque sector, in Santa Ana.

The capture was possible thanks to the quick action of the police authorities. The detainees were identified as Alcides Núñez and Kelly Roxana Platero Villalta, who parked next to the victims’ vehicle, forced the door and stole several objects.

Those affected saw them while they were committing the crime and chased those responsible. The criminals fled towards the Tras El Cerro hamlet, Cujucuyo canton, but, in their desperation, they crashed into a tree.

After this, they fled on foot, but the motorized police caught up with them after receiving the complaint and mounted an operation to capture them, which took place inside a farm. The detainees have a history of receiving, aggravated robbery, theft and aggravated fraud.

The police institution indicated that both will be prosecuted in this case, while other criminal acts in which they have participated are investigated. Likewise, they called on the population who have been victims of their crimes to file a complaint.
