For the fourth consecutive year, the municipality of Matamoros, Coahuila, will host the Vizcaya Fest, an athletic hikking event that will bring together hundreds of runners from La Laguna and from abroad, next Saturday, June 22.

With the great explosion of popularity that exercise in open places and running in mountains and mountains has had in recent years, this event has quickly positioned itself as one of the favorites of La Laguna residents and is preparing a great fourth edition with different novelties and with more guests. The event was presented this Thursday, through a press conference that was headed by Liliana Rodríguez, president of the “Vizcochos” Club, which is the organizer of the athletic event, she was accompanied by Antonio Cepeda Licón, director of Inedec, in addition to Sergio Ayup, sports director in the municipality of Matamoros; Alfredo Alemán, from the Carreras MX promoter, along with Miguel Ortiz, from a brand sponsoring the event.

Vizcaya Fest gives beginners the opportunity to try their luck in this athletic modality, since it is carried out with three distances, for beginners, intermediate and advanced, in addition to offering previous training for those who wish to become familiar with the sport and the route. Space is limited to 450 runners among all modalities, with approximately 60 percent of registrations already sold out; The participation kit includes a commemorative t-shirt and medal.
