The driver who crashed his car, earlier today Thursday, at the port of Epanomi, in Thessaloniki, was recovered dead.
A Coast Guard vehicle and a private diver immediately arrived at the scene and recovered the man, who was picked up by an EKAV ambulance and taken to the AHEPA hospital.
What eyewitnesses said
Earlier, witnesses saw the car “dive” in the port of Epanomi, under so far unknown circumstances.
The body of the unfortunate man is taken to the morgue.
The car remains in the water and will be lifted by crane to be inspected.
