Users can set it up from their iPhone by adding their credit or debit card to the iPhone’s Wallet app, and from there it can be added to other Apple devices, as it is already integrated into mobile devices, the Apple Watch, Mac, and iPad.
These are the steps to follow to add a card to Wallet:
- Open the “Wallet” application
- Select “Add Card”
- Choose whether it is a credit or debit card
- Scan the card with your cell phone camera, or enter the data manually
- End the process
Once this process is complete, the user will be able to use their card with Apple Pay.
According to security information, Apple Pay uses a specific device number and a unique transaction code, this prevents the card number from being stored on the device, on Apple servers and at merchants.
Another advantage of this payment method is the use of Face ID, Touch ID or a code, which prevents having to make contact with buttons, terminals, money or cards.
The cards you can add to this payment method are:
- American Express
- Banorte
- Banregio
- BBVA
- Citibanamex
- Hey
- HSBC
- Inbursa
- Mastercard
- NOT
- RappiCard
- Visa
- Santander
And these are some establishments where you can already pay with Apple Pay:
- Apple
- Seven Eleven
- Chili’s
- Cinépolis
- Domino’s
- Super Pharmacy
- Italiannis
- Mixup
- MacStore
- Panda Expresss
