The capacity of new medical methods for complex treatment of heart disease in the country has increased more than before. But to reduce the risk of heart disease, prevention is the first step, there is no alternative. For this, food habits should be changed. Processed foods should be avoided along with raw salt avoidance. In addition to regular exercise, smoking and all types of tobacco should be avoided. A healthy heart will ensure a healthy life of a person. By doing this, people’s life expectancy will also increase.

This was said on the closing day of the Scientific Conference organized by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) titled ‘Fourth SCI Course on Complex PCI’ at Hotel Panpacific Sonargaon in the capital on Friday (April 19). The conference was organized over two days (April 18-19).

On the occasion, SCAI’s course director, cardiologist Professor MG Azam said that the main objective of this conference is to know about the modern treatment methods of heart attack and to express our firm conviction to move forward by ensuring medical services for the common people by comparing our picture with the world. At the same time to create connectivity of young doctors with specialized doctors at international level. Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited and Medtronic Bangladesh Private Limited are the event partners of this event.

In this conference organized for two days, experts, renowned and young cardiologists from home and abroad participated in various scientific sessions on cardiovascular issues. SCAI International Program Head Ramesh Dugabati, SCAI Course Director and one of the country’s cardiologist Professor MG Azam inaugurated the event.

In the various sessions of the closing day, interventional cardiologist Professor Mamas A Mamas from the UK gave expert opinions on various complications, risks, remedies and operations of heart disease, Dr. Mamas from the USA. Chowdhury H. Ahsan, Dr. from India. Subhanan Roy, cardiologist Rustem Dautov from Australia, Prof. Dr. AKM Maksumul Haque, Prof. Dr. Boren Chakraborty, Professor Dr. Fazilatunnecha Malik and others. About 300 experts and young interventional cardiologists from the country and abroad participated in this scientific seminar.
