A scientific-practical conference called “General approach to cerebral metastases” was held today in Baku.

Publika.az reports that the event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev took place within the framework of a series of scientific-practical meetings between Reference Medical Group and Anatolian Health Group.

The event began with the singing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey and a minute’s silence in honor of those who lost their lives in the earthquake in the brotherly country.

Kanan Yusifzadeh, a doctor of “Referans” Medical Group, the host of the conference, said that this and the following events will take place on the basis of the memorandum signed by Reference and Anatolian Health Group last year.

Kanan Yusifzadeh stressed that every Azerbaijani feels deeply saddened by the earthquake in Turkey. It is an indication of optimism. We can overcome this tragedy together. Azerbaijan was the first country to come to the aid of our president. This shows that Azerbaijan and Turkey are one in the field of medicine.

We have also stated that we are ready for all kinds of support as a “Reference”. We are with the people of Turkey until our last breath.”

Kanan Yusifzade pointed out that there is a lack of detail in the treatment of cerebral metastases in our country: “Many specialists are involved in the treatment of this disease: brain surgeons, neuropathologists, partly psychiatrists, doctors who prescribe it – radiologists, laboratory and neuro-physiological specialists. Unfortunately, in Azerbaijan in this field There is retail. The gratifying point is that our patients used to go to Turkey, Iran, and sometimes to Russia, but our brain surgeons and neuropathologists, who have been trained in recent years, have been able to stop that flow.”

The doctor of Anadolu Health Group, professor Sardar Kahraman said that the treatment of cancerous tumors in the brain is not as difficult as thought.

“Cancer is a widespread disease all over the world. It spreads everywhere in the body, which leads to the expansion and deepening of the disease. One of the organs where cancer spreads is the brain. The presence of cancerous tumors in the brain puts the patient’s life at risk and causes death.

We have come here to share the latest innovations related to operations and the latest oncological-genetic treatment methods available around the world to prevent the spread of these tumors and to treat them. I should note that cancerous tumors in the brain can be treated quite well with the technological weapons at our disposal. Especially, if breast cancer can be treated genetically, it is possible to completely control this disease. That’s why we organized this conference and are ready to share our experiences.”

According to Sardar Kahraman, brain cancer is very risky, for its treatment it is necessary to have experienced centers first:

“The most important aspect of such centers is the creation of conditions for many doctors to look at the patient’s analyzes and assess the situation together. The most important aspect of our department in Istanbul accepting patients from Azerbaijan is the presence of such conditions. Patients come believing in this. Because in Azerbaijan and in many countries, this is the case There are no structures that can meet regularly. In other countries, experts can meet once a month, but here they meet once a week.”

Later, the conference continued its work on sessions.
