Musk’s wealth this year increased by 95.4 billion dollars to 232.3 billion dollars, thanks to a 105% increase (doubled) in the value of “Tesla” shares. As a result, he overtook French billionaire Bernard Arnault, who took first place in the ranking a year ago.
Arnon heads LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA, the world’s largest luxury goods manufacturer. A general slowdown in the global economy and reduced demand for luxury goods have limited gains in LVMH shares, with the company’s shares up 8.4% this year.
Currently, Musk’s wealth exceeds that of Arno ($178.9 billion) by more than $50 billion. Jeff Bezos, the founder of “Amazon.com Inc”, has increased his wealth by 70 billion dollars this year. He currently shares the same lineup as Arnon.
