Ms. MT (Hanoi) said that the two rings and diamond earrings she kept in a paper bag were mistakenly thrown away by her husband in a trash bag.

According to Mr. Ngoc, the incident happened on the evening of March 7. At 6:30 p.m., he received a call for assistance from a resident due to the loss of his diamond ring and earrings.

Ms. MT (born in 1993) – a resident of the building – said that her husband mistakenly put the two rings and diamond earrings she kept in a bag in a trash bag on the night of March 6.

Receiving the information, Mr. Ngoc reported it to the apartment management board. That night, the management board sent a security team to check the garbage truck’s security cameras and contacted the cleaning team to help find items for residents.

The cleaning team then called Ms. MT to ask for information about the color of the trash bag and when to dump the trash. The inspection process showed that Ms. T.’s trash bags were still in storage and ready to be taken away in the next 30 minutes.

The cleaning team took the building’s trash cans out to dig up property. Ms. MT and her husband also directly searched through trash to find diamonds.

In addition, the building security team also helps collect trash with residents.

Ms. T. added that after finding the property, the family bought fruit and sent cash to thank the building representative and the cleaning and security team for their support.

However, the building only accepts fruit, because the regulations do not accept money from residents. Feeling guilty, Ms. T. ordered food and sent it to the management board, administration, security team and janitors to express her gratitude.

Ms. T. said that on March 6, I had to go out so I took out the diamond to wear. Normally after use, she will clean the diamond, blot it with dry paper, and wait until the jewelry is completely dry before storing it.

However, because on the evening of March 6, she was busy taking care of her sick 4-year-old son, so she did not have time to put the jewelry on the dressing table.

The next afternoon, suddenly remembering the incident, she went to the dressing table and saw no property. Thinking that her husband mistook the jewelry for trash and threw it away, she quickly called him home and contacted the building’s management board for help.
