Everywhere people talk about Viagra, the excitement, excitement and even ‘attempts’ of this time, completely confident of becoming a ‘mighty stallion’.

About 1/3 of men over 40 years old have sexual problems

The activation principle of Viagra can be summarized as follows: Viagra is a drug belonging to the PDE5 inhibitor group. PDE5 is an enzyme that promotes the degradation of cGMP in the blood. Through inhibiting PDE5, Viagra relaxes smooth muscle and increases blood flow to the penis, supporting erections.

More specifically, Viagra helps men who cannot achieve an erection by increasing the amount of blood flowing into the penis. When arousal occurs, nitric oxide is released by the nervous system in the erectile tissue of the penis.

On March 27, 1998, the US Drug Agency FDA licensed the drug Viagra to be sold in the US market. Even before it was allowed to be sold outside the United States, Viagra was sold illegally in several countries for five times the price in the United States. Pfizer said about 62 million men around the world have used the drug.

Previously, doctors only had the solution of injecting drugs into the base of the male genitals. Viagra appears like a ray of light that dispels the darkness, attracting users at an unprecedented speed. Immediately after the FDA approved the use of Viagra to treat impotence, the Rite Aid drug store chain had to supply Viagra for 10,000 prescriptions every day!

The US military spends $41.6 million each year to buy Viagra. The US, Mexico and Canada spend $1.4 billion annually on drugs. The Viagra fever is so hot that some doctors have even broken professional ethical principles to make money. That is the case of David Michael Thomas, a musculoskeletal doctor who agreed to diagnose over the phone and prescribe Viagra for 700 patients, for $50 each. Because of this action, Thomas almost lost his professional license.

After officially “landing” in Europe in September 1998, Viagra quickly became the main engine driving Pfizer’s income skyrocketing. In 1999 and 2000, world sales from Viagra increased by 30%, exceeding more than $1 billion/year.

But very quickly, fake Viagra appeared on the market. Just a few weeks after being launched on the market, the ‘miracle bed medicine’ produced in India and Thailand was widely sold. Fake Viagra has toxins no worse than pesticides or printer ink.

Like all drugs, Viagra also has unwanted side effects. That’s the potential to lead to nonarteritic optic neuropathy, or damage to the optic nerve. There may even be lust, erection with prolonged pain, heart attack, sudden hearing loss, increased intraocular pressure, and ventricular arrhythmia.

One of the typical examples of side effects from Viagra mentioned in the press is American billionaire Hugh Hefner, founder and creative director of Playboy magazine.

Hugh Hefner regularly uses Viagra to support orgies, even though he is over 80 years old. Due to abuse, he became suddenly deaf at the end of his life and later became completely deaf. He passed away at the age of 91.

To date, billions of Viagra pills, both real and fake, have been sold, enriching America’s Pfizer and counterfeiters.
