University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) spent 10 billion VND to buy Nvidia’s NVIDIA DGX A100 AI super server for teaching and research.

Information from the school said that the NVIDIA DGX A100 AI super server based on the Ampere architecture arrived at the University of Information Technology yesterday, February 28.

NVIDIA DGX A100 is the universal system for all AI infrastructure, from analytics, training to inference. It packs high-density compute with up to 5 petaFLOPS of AI processing performance in a 6U chassis, replacing one infrastructure tower with just one platform for every AI Workload.

The NVIDIA DGX A100 super server is part of a digital transformation project and serves to run Deep learning and machine learning models for scientific research from research groups, laboratories and scientific research projects.

To have a super server to serve this scientific research, the University of Information Technology spent 9 months negotiating to get NVIDIA’s approval to supply and export it from the US. The school must sign a commitment to use it internally for scientific research.
